DEVELOPMENT PERMITS - The Development Permit system is an area-based planning method that is an alternative approach to site-specific rezoning approvals process. The City of Toronto is considering developing such an approach through City Planning.

The Ontario Municipal Board/ Local Appeal Bodies for the City of Toronto. City Council is currently debating the merits to "eliminating the Ontario Municipal Board" for the City of Toronto and creating Local Appeal Bodies to hear appeals on applications

BILD, owner of the Home Shows (ie. National Home Show, Fall Home Show, etc.) may have difficulty with their operations at the Exhibition grounds b/c of construction, therefore discussions on ground management will need to occur with City Council members.
